Patient Access Representative Days

Description:
Conducts patient interviews to assure that medical and financial data is obtained/documented via computer system, in order to provide necessary medical treatment and obtain proper reimbursement for the Hospital.
Assures Hospital compliance with government agencies and insurance carrier regulations as they pertain to Patient Access Management.
Develops/follows patient financial plan and collects payment.
Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.
e.
damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.
Requirements:
Job Qualifications/Education/Training/Certification/Licensure:
High School diploma.
Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
Prior health care background and knowledge preferred.
Office procedures, typing and word processing (minimum of 25 wpm), data entry, customer relations, office machinery, medical terminology preferred.
Scheduling experience and basic knowledge of coding, billing and insurance preferred.
Work Environment and Hazards:
Office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation.
Direct and indirect customer contact.
Able to work effectively under stress.
Flexible in setting priorities in response to changing organizational and market needs.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
