Clinical Director (RN) Surgical Services Full Time Day
Description:
The Clinical Director of Perianeshtesia Services leads clinical services in Same Day Surgery, PACU, Medical Day Stay and Endoscopy.
Fosters autonomy, accountability and professional/personal growth and development of staff.

The Clinical Director is a person of influence who breaks down barriers.
Is responsible for knowledge of the patient population served and assures awareness of ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
Assures safety in practice and is inclusive of the principles of evidence based practice by maintaining a realization of own individual level of knowledge and experience and assumes responsibility for advancing knowledge of self and others of the patient care team by communication with and utilizing resource persons and programs available.
Responsible for supervising and directing the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborates with other interdisciplinary team members.
Assures that all professional nurses and LPNs practice within their specific scope of practice as defined by the Nurse Practice Act and Regulatory standards.
Is aware of and assures that all unlicensed personnel practice within the scope of practice outlined in their specific job description.
Responsible for consistently setting and evaluating priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.
e.
damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc.
SECTION III:
JOB QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/TRAINING/CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:
BS/BSN Degree.
Master?s Degree preferred.
Three to five years? managerial experience preferred but not required.
One to two years? experience w Requirements:
BS/BSN Degree or commitment to obtaining on or within 5 - 10 years.
Master s Degree preferred.
Three to five years managerial experience preferred but not required.
Excellent communication skills with colleagues, administrators and physicians.
One to two years experience within perioperative areas required.
Demonstrated professional development over time (i.
e.
national certification, continuing education, etc.
).
Current New Jersey RN Licensure required.
National Certification preferred.
