Job Description:
Spa ReceptionistThe Spa department is responsible for creating at atmosphere of relaxation and renewal.
The spa islocated on the mezzanine level of the resort and features 14 treatment rooms, a sauna, steam room,and relaxing whirlpool.
Featured modalities at the Spa at Ocean Place include Swedish, Deep-Tissue,Warm Stone, Reflexology, and Pre-Natal, as well as Facial peels, Microdermabrasion, and Waxing.
Job SummaryThe Spa Receptionist is responsible for the booking and guest registration process, including thecommunication of Spa services in a courteous and informative manner.
Essential Job Functionso Greets guests in friendly manner, ensuring all guest contact is courteous, informative, and thorough.
o Performs accurate scheduling and confirming of guest appointments.
o Manages treatment bookings and updates schedules throughout the day.
o Ensures appointments are on time, communicating delays as necessary.
o Notifies therapists of bookings and appointments in a timely manner.
o Accurately communicates Spa services, features, and amenities.
o Processes payments, obtaining proper approval and authorization.
o Maintains a record of reservations, therapist schedules, and registration forms.
o Performs opening and closing procedures according to resort standards.
o Ensures that the presentation and Spa cleanliness reflects resort standards at all times.
o Actively promotes the Spa, treatments, services, and retail.
o Assists with retail product inventory.
o Maintains knowledge of Spa, hotel, and community events to accurately and clearly communicateinformation to guests and employees.
o Performs related duties as requested by managementEducation, Experience and Skill Requirementso High school diploma or equivalent required.
o Previous experience in a similar position strongly preferred.
o Career interest in Spa & wellness or a related industry is preferred.
o Knowledge of Spa services and products.
o Superior customer service and interpersonal skills required.
o Calm and courteous in demanding situations, must enjoy working with people.
o Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
o Must have basic math skills.
Prior knowledge in cashiering preferred.
o Must be able to maintain a professional appearance at all times.
o Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as necessary.
Physical
Qualifications:
o Requires the ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions.
o Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
